A champagne toast is one good way of celebrating an important occasion. This is usually marked as one of the highlights of the celebration. There are some tips in making champagne toasts. First, the leader of the toast should be prepared enough to give a message to the rest of the guests. A short speech can be prepared to ensure that the message will be relevant enough. However, there are cases when an impromptu champagne toast is requested. During such instances, the leader should still bear in mind to put in some light comments to spice up the celebration. Apart from the champagne toast message, there are also three other tips that relate to the champagne itself. First, champagne should always be served chilled. The champagne should be refrigerated upright two hours before the celebration. If a bucket is available, the champagne can also be placed in it together with ice cubes. Note that champagnes are not to be chilled by placing them in the freezer. This could damage the sparkling effect of the drink. Next, for safety purposes, never point the cork of the champagne towards other people. The champagne toast leader should start opening the bottle by first removing the foil and wire hood. Afterwards, the cork is grasped in one hand and the bottom of the bottle is held in the other hand. The cork is held firmly while turning. It is advisable to hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle while the cork is loosened. The gradual pressure applied on the cork should safely remove it from the bottle's lid. Lastly, after the champagne toast leader has delivered a message, guests gently clink their bottles. This practice is a customary part of champagne toasts. The action is believed to be capable of warding off evil spirits. Champagne provides detailed information on Champagne, French Champagne, Champagne Glasses, Champagne Racks and more.
