Champagne Toasts

A champagne toast is one good way of celebrating an important occasion. This is usually marked as one of the highlights of the celebration.

There are some tips in making champagne toasts. First, the leader of the toast should be prepared enough to give a message to the rest of the guests. Next, for safety purposes, never point the cork of the champagne towards other people. The champagne toast leader should start opening the bottle by first removing the foil and wire hood. Afterwards, the cork is grasped in one hand and the bottom of the bottle is held in the other hand. The cork is held firmly while turning. It is advisable to hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle while the cork is loosened. The gradual pressure applied on the cork should safely remove it from the bottle's lid.

Lastly, after the champagne toast leader has delivered a message, guests gently clink their bottles. This practice is a customary part of champagne toasts. The action is believed to be capable of warding off evil spirits.
